The EAE Limelight adopts the generous double footswitch format which made the success of classics in their range such as the Longsword and the Dude Incredible. This time, it presents an overdrive inspired by the famous Bluesbreaker, pioneer of modern amp-in-a-boxes and model for the Analog Man King Of Tone and the JHS Morning Glory. However, the EAE Limelight doesn’t just « clone » the Marshall from the 90s; it provides clearer articulation and a significantly extended gain range.

To achieve this result, the settings are ingeniously designed: the gain control simultaneously adjusts the levels of both gain stages, gradually increasing the mids as you increase it. The Tone control cuts the highs, while the Focus attenuates the overly present bass. These features allow you to obtain a wide range of sounds, often very close to a real amp.

To complete these characteristics, the right footswitch activates an adjustable boost via its own potentiometer. Placed upstream of the drive, it is the perfect tool for increasing gain and streamlining the sound during solos.

Although designed for a post-hardcore band, the EAE Limelight also stands out in genres such as blues, classic rock or neo-soul. Its versatile capabilities provide a tailor-made sonic palette, suited to various musical styles.
