Custom Shop & Star’s Music
The Gibson Custom Shop Made To Measure (M2M) program has been around since 2013. It allows you to place an order for the Gibson of your dreams (be it a Les Paul, an SG, an ES-335, an Explorer…), which you will have precisely determined the characteristics. It is this program that we can call on to build our own M2M models. Check out this collection on the Star’s Music website. If you want to build your dream guitar, just contact us so that we can select a reference model together (to be chosen from a list of instruments inspired in particular by the iconic guitars of Gibson’s golden age), then the different options offered by the Custom Shop (body wood/neck/fingerboard, table grade, pickups, neck profile, fittings, colors, finish, etc.). These specifications are then sent to the Custom Shop for validation, quotation and evaluation of the delivery time. All you have to do is accept the quote and wait! Jeff Beck is considered one of the best guitarists in history, capable of playing virtually anything in his own unique, soulful style. Jeff Beck got his start playing in the Yardbirds, making groundbreaking music on a ’59 Les Paul Standard.
The GIBSON Custom Shop Murphy Lab Custom Shop Jeff Beck YardBurst 1959 Les Paul Standard (LPR9JBDCMLNH1) solid body electric guitar is a faithful recreation of this legendary guitar, complete with its unique and instantly identifiable traits, such as the classic white bobbin humbuckers and black single-ply pickguard. A Lifton™ hardshell case and a selection of case candy commemorating the life of the legend that is Jeff Beck are also included.
Only 130 of these exceptional recreations were hand-made by the expert luthiers of the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, Tennessee, as part of this remarkable limited run and artfully aged to match the original as it appeared during Jeff’s Yardbird days by the Murphy Lab.
