Made in Germany in the Warwick workshops, the SADOWSKY MetroLine 21-Fret Hybrid P/J Bass, Swamp Ash Body, Maple Fingerboard, 5-String (SML21HP5 90 ASH FR) reinterprets to perfection a benchmark American solidbody electric bass.
It’s a top-of-the-range instrument designed for professional musicians looking for an instrument at the crossroads between timeless vintage and modern flexibility, qualitatively irreproachable and 100% reliable.
It can be used in a wide variety of musical registers (Blues, Jazz, Funk, Rock, Reggae…) and playing styles (finger-style, pick-style or slap-style).

The luthiery combines a Swamp Ash body with tonal chambers (to reduce the instrument’s weight without altering its deep identity), a Maple bolt-on neck and a Maple fingerboard (set with 21 frets).
This traditional wood combination produces tones that are full and responsive, dense and precise. Dynamic lows, well-balanced mids and clear highs.

The Hybrid P/J Bass is equipped with a duo of passive Sadowsky P-Style (neck) and Hum-cancelling J-Style (bridge) pickups that produce warm, expressive tones without background noise.
The Sadowsky active preamp is both simple and versatile. The VTC (Vintage Tone Control) tone filter effectively backs up traditional tone controls by attenuating high frequencies to give your tones an authentic vintage temperament (a bit like having a passive bass). The VTC potentiometer is of the push/pull type, allowing the circuit to be deactivated for an even more organic sound.
